In other words, three variables of spatial conflicts, time and cost of project are considered simultaneously in the proposed model to find the optimum solution. In addition to resolving conflicts, the model should be able to optimize time and cost of the projects. The purpose of this paper is to enable users to detect and resolve workspace conflicts by implementing four resolution strategies in a five-dimensional (5D) CAD model. The spatial conflicts and congestion of construction resources are challenges that lead to the reduction in efficiency. The results suggest that in all areas GS citation data is essentially a superset of WoS and Scopus, with substantial extra coverage. They are lower in the Humanities, and lower between GS and WoS than between GS and Scopus. Despite the many unique GS citing sources, Spearman correlations between citation counts in GS and WoS or Scopus are high (0.78-0.99). Many were non-English (19%-38%), and they tended to be much less cited than citing sources that were also in Scopus or WoS.

Most citations found only by GS were from non-journal sources (48%-65%), including theses, books, conference papers, and unpublished materials. GS found nearly all the WoS (95%) and Scopus (92%) citations. GS consistently found the largest percentage of citations across all areas (93%-96%), far ahead of Scopus (35%-77%) and WoS (27%-73%). This paper aims to contribute by providing a state of art on 4D BIM for site layout planning and workspace management for this knowledge area. The methodology employed is based on a review of the literature published in the last 10 years, in which information was collected from the International Conference of Lean Construction (IGLC) papers and a set of mainstream computing in civil and building engineering journals. This paper presents a literature review of mainstream studies of 4D BIM, focusing on logistic operations in order to identify study opportunities for waste minimization in workspaces and workflows. In fact, much has been written on ways to minimize site logistics waste but few studies have addressed the use of 4D BIM for logistic operations and transportation waste reduction on jobsites. Therefore, workspace management can support the Lean thinking through minimization or even completely eliminating the transportation, inventory and motion tasks, which are all non-value adding activities. Planning the logistic operations and the construction site layout is extremely important to avoid waiting time, double handling, transportation wastes and workflow conflict.
